Ottomania: A celebration of Turkish culture
The Koret Center takes pride in its many in-house events, yet an equally important part of its activity is the support and encouragement of external ventures. In June 2023, we produced Ottomania, an event celebrating the Jewish-Turkish heritage, in collaboration with the Student Union of Tel Aviv University (TAU).
More than 100 participants attended: researchers, students, and lecturers. The events were open to the public. The participants were exposed, some for the first time, to the cultural assets of Turkish Jewry, one of the most unique cultures in the puzzle of Jewish civilization.
