“My Family Story” program (MFS)

The “My Family Story” program, a flagship initiative of The Koret International School for Jewish Peoplehood, invites children ages 9-14 from Jewish schools worldwide to explore their family heritage through art and creativity. Students research their family history, conduct interviews, create a family tree and produce a digital art project that reflects both their personal stories and the broader Jewish narrative. Launched 30 years ago, the program has engaged over 80,000 Jewish students from more than 200 institutions across 24 countries.

Despite unprecedented challenges, this year the ANU Museum has expanded its global reach by embracing digital tools. The program introduced online teacher training, virtual ceremonies, and enhanced communication efforts, including over 1,500 targeted emails and monthly newsletters. In addition, virtual tours and the Capsule Project—our traveling exhibition—allowed us to connect with universities, schools and organizations worldwide, promoting cross-cultural understanding and strengthening the global Jewish network.
