Program Am Heksher

A collaborative initiative with the Ministry of Education’s Rural Education Administration, designed to strengthen solidarity and mutual responsibility. The program includes:

• Community Research: Building connections through the study of Israeli communities and creating joint projects.

• Experiential Learning: Joint study sessions between Israeli classes and Jewish classrooms abroad, focusing on the “Jewish Bookshelf” and enhancing linguistic literacy.

The Intergenerational Connection: Connecting Past to Future, Crossing Borders

The “Intergenerational Connection” (Hakshar HaRav Dori) is a groundbreaking educational-values program that builds a unique bridge between the younger generation and senior citizens—both in Israel and around the world. At its heart is a fascinating encounter of mutual learning:

• Empowering with Tools: Students serve as “digital mentors,” teaching seniors how to master modern technology.

• Receiving Roots: Seniors share their life stories, values, and family/national heritage.

• Creating Eternity: Together, the pairs document these stories and upload them to the National Heritage Database at ANU – Museum of the Jewish People, where they are preserved for future generations.

A Global Network for Jewish Identity

• Flexible Multilingual Implementation: The program is adapted for use outside of Israel in a wide range of languages, including dedicated lesson plans and support materials for easy integration into any community.

• International Collaborative Learning: Our model encourages remote collaborative learning between schools in Israel and the Diaspora, practically strengthening the bond and mutual affinity between all parts of the Jewish people.
