Leadership in Jewish Education During Crisis: a Global Jewish Education Leadership Solidarity Mission to Israel
For the first time in history, educational leaders from around the world – including Israel – gathered to plan how to seize an educational opportunity to strengthen Jewish identity worldwide.
Thirty-two Jewish educational leaders from around the world traveled to Israel for a solidarity mission, co-sponsored by UnitED, the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs, the World Zionist Organization, the Pincus Fund for Jewish Education, and the Koret Center.
Following their return to their home countries, the leaders met with Prof. Youval Rotman to reflect on the experience and explore opportunities for future collaboration. To assess the impact of the mission on both the participants and the broader field of Jewish education, participants were asked to fill out a mission survey. The survey, developed by Dr. Ahuva Liberles from Tel Aviv University in collaboration with ANU, aimed to evaluate the mission’s effectiveness and potential for long-term influence.
