Research Regarding the Effect of October 7th on American Jewry
Together, ANU and TAU collaborated on a study examining the impact of the events of October 7th on parents in Jewish communities in the United States and how ANU can address some of their needs. The study aimed to identify the target audience for the museum’s education division and determine their topics of interest. The study was conducted by PhD student and social science researcher, Talia Gorodess, over the course of four months. The research provided valuable insights for future initiatives.
Gorodess developed an overview to assess the quality and range of responses from various Jewish organizations following October 7th. She also conducted a quantitative analysis comparing global surveys to identify which questions were being asked and which were not.
The research revealed that the education division should also focus on parents when designing new educational programs, recognizing their role as key influencers in children’s Jewish education. For more details, please read the initial report attached.
